Six great reasons to spend Valentine’s Week at the Palladium this year!

That red-letter day that honors love is coming up fast. To help you celebrate the Palladium’s offering a bouquet of shows that make great gifts. And if your current status is solo, getting out to a show is a great way to meet new people.

Here’s what we’re offering starting on Feb. 12 and running through Feb. 17:

Feb. 12 – Jazz in Hough Hall with Palladium favorites Nicki Parrott, Rossano Sportiello, Ed Metz and James Suggs. Just hearing Nicki sing Fever will make your week. Showtime is 8 p.m. Here’s a link for tickets.

Feb. 13 – Shakespeare themed concert by the Palladium Chamber Players, with special guest Amy Schwartz Moretti. With works based on the Bard’s plays by Beethoven and Korngold, plus Schumann’s Piano Quartet in E flat Major. Our ensemble includes Danielle Farina, viola, Julian Schwarz, cello, and Marika Bournaki, piano. Here’s a link for tickets.

Feb. 14 – Whitney James’ Jazz Valentine, our annual celebration in the Side Door. Joining Whitney are guitarist LaRue Nickelson, and the La Lucha trio, featuring John O’Leary, piano, Alejandro Arenas, bass, and Mark Feinman, drums. Here’s a link for tickets. And get them soon, this show ALWAYS sells out.

Feb. 15 – The Mersey Beatles: Four Lads From Liverpool. When “All You Need Is Love” this is the show for you. The lads (who really are from Liverpool) are back after their hit Palladium debut last year. I saw this show and loved it. There’s a VIP package that includes a meet and greet with the band and with John Lennon’s sister, Julia Baird. Here’s a link for tickets.

Feb. 16 – Chris MacDonald’s Memories of Elvis. “You Can’t Help Falling in Love” with Chris’ sensational show. It’s become an annual event at the Palladium and people keep coming because Chris is a great performer, who looks and sounds like the King, and he’s backed by a great band and singers.  Here’s a link for tickets.

Feb. 17 – One City Chorus, featuring Roy Zimmerman. Just barely three years old, One City Chorus’ shows make you feel the love that radiates through our community. With 140 singers and their charismatic leader, Jon Arteton, these are shows that will make you smile and sometimes choke you up. Here’s a link for tickets.

I’ll be spending the whole week here, so please say hello!
