Nate Najar returns this Friday with the Bossa Nova All-Stars, and a lot of birthday cake

Palladium favorite Nate Najar is back on his home turf this Friday night (March 30) with The Bossa Nova All-Stars, a band of musical luminaries that includes the Brazilian singer Maucha Adnet who toured for 10 years with the bossa nova legend Antonio Carlos Jobim.

The rest of the band includes two of the finest band leaders and side men in jazz today  – Chuck Redd, Harry Allen. and Tommy Cecil.

Of course Nate Najar will be holding it all together with his acoustic guitar.

March 30 is also Palladium Paul’s birthday, so I’m celebrating with this great concert and we’re inviting the audience downstairs after the show to share some cake with the birthday boy and meet the Bossa Nova All-Stars.

For a good preview of the show, listen to the archive recording of Nate’s interview on WMNF’s Colors of Jazz last Sunday. Nate talked about the show, his early days in jazz, and more. They also played some great bossa nova numbers from Nate’s recordings, most featuring the All-Stars lineup.

This is going to be one of the most talked-about shows of the 2018 season. Make sure you are in on the conversation. Join us Friday, March 30 for Nate Najar and the Bossa Nova All-Stars.
